So I haven't played solo warrior ironman in about 3 years until yesterday and today. I made it past leo twice. Both runs I ended up quitting due to time constraints. Only ways I could get past leo was finding staff of holy bolt though. I used to get passed leo just Melee.

I got really perplexed when I got to leo after clearing all of level 3 I was level 10 with 60 base dex and 35 str. My weapon was a mace and I had 33 ac. The group of archers by leo dropped a ring and ided it because of the number of times I failed agains leo in Melee and I got lucky and it was +10 dex!

Can you believe I still died... I had only 7 healing potions.

Is there something I'm doing wrong.

Hmm I need to check my diablo version

Sometimes he's just an asshole. Sometimes he dies without needing a single potion and sometimes with everything he kills you anyway. On average, level 9/10 with 60 dex you can kill him i think, but getting a morning star or a lucky flail helps A LOT. RNG can be a real bitch sometimes. Idk don't get too bummed, maxing dex to 60 is still probably the best way to do it.

Well there's the technique of stepping back in the downwards directions just as he's about to hit you, which I've tried to spread the word about on any occasion. While not a gamechanger, it will prove helpful if done correctly. Once you step back you can either swing at the next tile for him to step into, or step right back - you won't be considered in range until you finish movement. Presumably, he will have a bit more time to regenerate his hit points, but on the other hand he won't hurt you as much and you will deny him his 100% lifesteal.
